This is a tough issue for me... on the one hand, I can see why the U.S. would be concerned about who gets to "profit" from the war.
It is no secret that the U.S. has expended billions of dollars, and the amount spent is only going to increase the longer we stay in Iraq.
France and Germany come into the fray after the fact (without any expense), and want to make tons of money in the reparations.
In short, I understand Bush's sarcasm... but it is inappropriate in his position as President. The reasoning is good, to me. I just have problems with the "delivery of the message."
